In the late 18th century, Jeremy Bentham (15 February 1748 – 6 June 1832), English philosopher, jurist and social reformer and regarded as the founder of modern utilitarianism pursued the idea: What if someone could quantitatively measure how happy he/she feels? To do so, he created the measure “Hedon”, designed to determine how fun it really is to do what you are doing. The more Hedons, the greater happiness one feels.
Here at Hedon Brewery, we follow a simple philosophers’ summation, embodied in our craft beers and culture:
“All action should be directed toward achieving the greatest total amount of happiness, for ourselves and for everyone else”
We hope to help you achieve your greatest amount of happiness by providing delicious craft beers which you can enjoy with your friends and family. We also throw special parties, and regularly attend festivals and special events across Hungary and Central Europe
Relax with Hedon craft beers at the end of the day with family and friends, on those warm summer nights by the lake, or those sunny days on the beach when a cold brew just feels right. Once you have that first sip, you will keep coming back for more.
We like our beer. It makes us happy. We hope it makes you happy too.
